PlayStation Store users in Europe have had to wait a little bit longer than the rest for Trine 2′s release. However, the EU Playstation Blog has tempered our frustration with news that Trine 2 will come with a 30% discount for every user, and be completely free to subscribers of PlayStation Plus.

I wrote about the original Trine’s merits for another site when it first came to the PlayStation Store in 2009. If the sequel can be as good as the original then PS+ subscribers have landed another very good freebie. If that doesn’t sway you to sign up, then perhaps a free download of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus HD will. The game will be free on PS+ later this month.
